God is Faithful...Everyday
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” - Hebrews 4:16
The sun came up and the Lord’s mercies are new again this morning. My family is together, the sky is blue, Eli is resting, the promises of God are true, and the Lord is on His throne. These are undeserved mercies. In fact, as I sit here, I’m reminded once again of how everything you and I have in this life is a gift that flows directly from the loving mercy of God toward us.
Whether we acknowledge this or not, it is true.
My prayer today is that you and I would not only acknowledge the loving mercy of God in our lives, but we would thank Him and praise Him for it continually. That we would truly stand amazed and overjoyed by His mercy in such a way that we are led to humbly and eagerly surrender all we are to Him everyday.
He is our all in all. How I pray you know the Lord in this way, friends. Jesus died and was raised in order for you to know God in this way.
The Lord is faithful! As many will sing this weekend...
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
What a faithful, merciful, sovereign God! He is worthy of all our praise! He is also worthy of all our prayer.
Persistent, persevering prayer for my son is the primary work and joy of my life at this moment. Please continue to join me in crying out to our mighty and faithful God on behalf of Eli.
